Why we need your personal data
We have created services that let you sign up for a quarterly email newsletter and request support by email.
When you provide us with your personal data, we process it and add it to our email subscription list if appropriate.
Personal data we collect
When you sign up to get our newsletter or request support by email we will only collect your name and email address.
What we do with your personal data
The information you provide to us by email will be sent to our DfE marketing or policy teams, who will send the email newsletter. Alternatively, if you request support via the support email your details will be sent to our support team to enable them to deal with your request.
How we use your personal data when you sign up for our services
The information we collect from you (such as your name, contact details and subject preferences) is used for administration only.
We will save your email address and name in our contact list but no other data that you may inadvertently supply, for example in your email signature.
Data review process
We will contact you annually to check that you still wish to receive the newsletter. We will also review all data on a quarterly basis to ensure that any other personal data has been permanently destroyed.
Why our use of your personal data is lawful
In order for our use of your personal data to be lawful, we need to meet one (or more) conditions in the data protection legislation.
For the purpose of this project the relevant condition is Article 6(1)(a) that you have given your consent.
Who we will make your personal data available to
We sometimes need to make personal data available to other organisations. These might include contracted partners (who we have employed to process your personal data on our behalf) and/or other organisations (with whom we need to share your personal data for specific purposes).
Where we need to share your personal data with others, we ensure that this data sharing complies with data protection legislation. For the purpose of this project:
